What is Solanimism?

Solanimism is, above all else, the belief that God resides within each and every one of us. Solanimism derives its name from Latin: sol (self) and anima (soul), and it emphasizes the importance of individual spiritual experience and personal connection to the divine.

While I mentioned God singular, it is important to note that Solanimism is not a monotheistic belief system. Solanimists believe that there are multiple Gods although the exact number is up to the individual's own beliefs. So where do these Gods come from? What does each one stand for? The answer to that question is a little more difficult because the Pantheon of Solanimism is not typical. Each God in Solanimism is representitive of a single personality archetype. This links us back to the idea that God resides in each individual person; If an individual fits a specific archetype, that is because they themselves are hosting part of that God's spirit.
